The world of IT security is a scary place, and it seems like the bad guys are winning. Most recently, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and Global Affairs Canada were scrambling to respond to cyberattacks targeting their networks. As a result, personal information of users, including employees, were compromised. While it is unclear whether these incidents are related, it is a example of a large organization falling victim to a cyber-attack.
